Vasa Stajić, writer and politician (Mokrin, 1878-Novi Sad, 1947). He was involved in politics, advocated socialist ideas, and was often fired from his posts, as well as imprisoned. He was a social and a national political representative, engaged in literature and education. Edited Letopis twice (1921 and 1936). During the First World War, Letopis was suspended, and renewed in 1921 under the editorship of Vasa Stajić, who attempted to spread ideas of socialist humanism, while during his second term, the journal maintained its predominantly historical and literary-historical character.
